POLYMER FIBER - TWIST

High-strength TWIST polymer fiber for concrete reinforcement, increasing crack resistance and structural durability.

twist

Twisted Polymer Fibers are synthetic fibers with a twisted or deformed geometry, designed for use as reinforcement in concrete and other cement-based materials.

The profiled shape improves mechanical interaction between the fiber and the surrounding concrete compared with smooth, straight fibers. When properly dispersed throughout the concrete mix, polymer fibers provide distributed reinforcement within the concrete matrix.

Their performance depends on factors including polymer type, fiber geometry, dimensions, tensile properties, dosage, concrete composition and application requirements.

Key Features

  • Synthetic polymer fiber reinforcement

  • Twisted or profiled geometry

  • Distributed throughout the concrete matrix

  • Can contribute to crack control

  • Can improve toughness and post-cracking behaviour

  • Non-corrosive

  • Available in different dimensions and specifications

Typical Applications

Depending on the fiber specification, dosage and structural design, twisted polymer fibers can be used in:

  • Industrial floors

  • Concrete slabs

  • Precast concrete elements

  • Shotcrete

  • Pavements

  • Concrete overlays

  • General fiber-reinforced concrete applications

Product Selection

The appropriate polymer fiber type and dosage should be selected according to the concrete mix, required performance and intended application.

For structural or performance-critical applications, fiber suitability and dosage should be determined according to the applicable design requirements and supported by relevant technical documentation and testing.
