Specifications :
Spherical steel shot is a cast shot with a hardness of 460–560 HV ± 40 HV (46–53 HRC) according to ISO 11125–3.
Chemical composition complies with ISO 11125–1 and SAE J827.
Content in cast steel:
Carbon-C: 0.8-1.2%
manganese-Mn: 0.35-1.2%
Silicon–Si: minimum 0.4%
sulfur-S and phosphorus–P: maximum 0.05%.
Shot grain sizes according to spreading from S 70 to S 1320 in accordance with SAE J444 AUG 84 revised May 1993.
Main applications for shot-throwing wheel cleaners:
cleaning of castings from moulding sands,
removing risers from castings and metallurgical products,
removing scale from sheets and sections,
removing burrs from castings,
metallurgical products and those created during locksmith work.
