STEEL SHOT, SQUARE

Steel shot produced in SAE J444 standard is melted from carbon steel of a specified density. The molten metal is atomized and transformed into round particles, then hardened and tempered by heat treatment to obtain a product of uniform hardness and microstructure, and then sorted by size according to SAE standard. The chemical composition of the molten metal is analyzed and strictly controlled by spectrometer to obtain SAE specifications.
